Carbon Technology was established in 1997 as manufacturing consultants specialising in compression moulding of pre-impregnated epoxy/carbon (graphite) and epoxy/glass composites and CNC routing of composites, plastics, MDF and metals. We can take your idea through design, prototyping and produce large or small batches delivered to your door.

  Services
Our pressing workshop can produce epoxy carbon (graphite) or glass sheet to custom lay ups with special resins in thickness from 0.5mm to 50mm size 800 x 600mm. We also have special presses for the manufacture of structural/ridged beams maximum moulding size 150 x 150 x 3600mm. We have produced many different types of ridged beam for industries as diverse as flexographic printing, film and TV, and lightweight equipment for the repair of conveyor belts.

Our CNC routing workshop can cut material up to 4000mm x 2000mm in X and Y-axis and 200mm in Z-axis. We have cut many different carbon sheet components particularly for manufacturers of radio controlled model helicopters. We also route ridged plastics, MDF and some metals.

With our dedicated workshop we make most of our compression tools from 2D or 3D CAD programmes. This gives us the control over the exacting fit of compression tooling to obtain good finish time after time.

Drawings Files and Data
We can take your drawings, from a simple sketch with dimensions to CAD files in many formats or use our in house design service to produce the programmes to route the components you require. The most cost effective format is Auto Cad 14 DXF or DWG as these can loaded straight into the machine with little additional design work needed.
